2、amentalbasisoftraintraction,butalsofortheentiretransport.Manydisciplinesareinvolvedwhenstudythewheel/railrelationship.Wheel/railrollingcontacttheoryisthebasisfortheresearchandthewheel/railcontactbehavioristhekeyresearchcontent.Withthecomplexgeometriesandthehighnonlinearbehaviors,thewheel/railrelatio

3、nshiphasbecomeoneofthemostcomplicatedproblemsinthevehicleandtrackresearches.Highlyaccuratesolutionsarenotabletogetbyusingthetraditionalelasticmechanicscalculationmethod.Similarly,becauseofthebasicassumptionsofHertzcontacttheory,thecomplexproblemofwheel/railnonlinearcontactisnotdeeplystudied.Withthed

4、evelopmentofcomputertechnologyandfiniteelementtheory,threedimensional(3D)nonlinearwheel/railcontactstudybecomepossible.Furthermore,the3Dmodelisestablishedinaccordancewiththerealgeometriesofwheelandrail.Usingthecontactelementtosimulatehighlynonlinearwheel/railcontactproblem.ANSYS,whichisalargestructu

5、reanalysissoftware,providesagoodplatformforthe3Dnonlinearwheel/railcontactanalysis.Inthispaper,theHertzcontacttheoryandthefiniteelementmethoddealingwithnonlinearcontactproblemareintroduced.Onthisbasis,theinfluencefactorsofthewheel/rail3Dnonlinearstaticanddynamiccontactareresearched.Andwheel/rail3Dno

6、nlinearcontactfiniteelementmodelisestablishedbymakinguseoftheANSYS.TheTBconicaltreadand60kg/mrailareadoptedinmodeling.Therailbottomslopeis1:20.AccuratesizeshapeandstressdistributionofcontactareaarenotgottenthroughthetraditionalcalculationmethodsincludingHertzcontacttheoryandelasticanalysismethod.Due
