1、华中科技大学硕士学位论文AbstractSince1978,China’seconomyhasbenefitedalotfromtheimplementationofthereformandopening-uppolicy.Complyingwiththetrendofinternationalindustrialtransfer,Chinahastakenagoodadvantageofitshugepotentialconsumermarketaswellascheaplabortoattrac
2、tforeignbusinessesaroundtheworld.Inparticular,Chinahasexperiencedaphenomenalsurgeinitsinflowofforeigndirectinvestment(FDI)afteritsaccessiontoWTO.Itisforthefirsttimein2012thatChinasurpassedtheUnitedStatestobecometheworld'slargestFDIdestinationcountry.Ho
3、wever,aftertheonsetofeurocrisis,theglobaleconomyhastankedandbeeningreatrecession.Andthedomesticeconomicgrowthhasbeenslowingdown.NotonlythesharpdropindemandbutalsothepressureofRMBappreciationsuggestsustheremustbesomechangesineconomy.Forinstance,thelabor
4、costadvantage,oncewasaprioritytoinvestors,nowisatstake.Althoughtheactualamountoftheuseofforeigndirectinvestmenthasbeenincreasedyearbyyear,itisstillaproblemthatwhethertheattractivenesswillsustainandgrow.TheaimofthearticleistoanalyzehowtheFDIdeterminants
5、influenceintra-ChinaFDIflow.Inthispaper,somepaneldataof38countriesfromthefirstquarterof2002tothefirstquarterof2012hasbeenused,andchoosingindicatorsincludingGDP,trade,distance,theprotectionofintellectualpropertyandmanyotherfactors.Withthelatestdata,inte
6、gratingtheoriesofFDIandgravitymodel,usingthepaneldatamodel,theauthorempiricallymakeanalysisonChinaFDIinflow.TheresultsappeartocorroboratetheviewthatanincreaseinIPRhasasignificantlypositiveeffectonChinaFDIinflow,supportingthehypothesisfourwhereastheconf
7、idence,trade,infrastructuremaynothavesuchstrongeffectonFDIdecisions.TheresultsalsoindicatethatGDPhasabeneficialeffectontheintra-ChinaFDIflow.Andalthoughthedistancecoefficientispositive,witchisquiteoppositetothehypothesisfour,theresultshowdistancemaycom
