3、anativereadergetsfromtheoriginal.Nida[1]remarkedthathowtodetermineagoodtranslationistheresponseofthereceptortothetranslatedmessage,andthismessagemustthenbecomparedwiththewayinwhichtheoriginalreceptorspresumablyreactedtothemessagewhenitwasgiveninitsoriginalsetting.Jakobson[2]heldthe
4、viewthattranslationdoesnotjustmeanthechangeofsymbolsintoanotherlanguage,butitisaprocessofinformationsubstitution.Thetaskofatranslatoristotranslatetheinformationhereceivesintosymbolswhichhewillsendout.Catford[3]explainedthatintranslationthereisnomeaningequivalence,butjustthesignifie
5、requivalence.Becauseofthedifferencesbetweentheoriginallanguageandthetargetlanguage,thereexiststhetranslationequivalence[4]limitedness.Thislimitednessisnotonlymanifestedinthemeaningofwords,grammaticalfeatures,butalsomanifestedinculturaldifferencesmoreseriously.2.CultureandLanguagePe
