6、velopment,hasrecentlybeguntoextenditsscopetoaddressproblemsrelevanttomobiledevicesandwirelessnetworks.Thispaperisaperformancestudyofpeer-to-peersystemsovermobileadhocnetworks.Weshowthatcross-layerapproachperformsbetterthanseparatingtheoverlayfromtheaccessnetworkswiththe
7、comparisonofdifferentsettingsforthepeer-to-peeroverlayandunderlayingmobileadhocnetwork.Wethenpresentaperformancemodelwhichcapturesmostfacetsofmobilepeer-to-peersystems.Wehopeourresultswouldpotentiallyprovideusefulguidelinesformobileoperators,value-addedserviceprovidersa
