3、entpolymers-pely(ethyleneterephthalate)(PET)andpolypropylene(PP)films-isinvestigated.Temperatureeffectsontrackformationareconsideredintermsofmolecularmobilityandrelaxationtransitions.Thetracketchrateismeasuredasafunctionofirradiationtemperatureintherangeof77to373K.Theobtainedresultsar
4、ecomparedwiththeradicalyields.radiothermoluminescencecurvesandthermallystimulatedcurrentsmeasuredwiththeaimofdetectingchangesinthemobilityofmacromoleculesandradiolysisintermediates.Itisfoundthatthechangeofthetracketchratewithchangingregistrationtemperaturecorrelateswith~,-andglasstran

6、fpapers(O'SullivanandThompson,1980,O'Sullivanetal.,1984).Sincethattimealotofdatawerepublishedonthissubject(seereviewofDurrani,1991)but,nevertheless,thephysicalandchemicalphenomenaunderlyingthechangeofthesensitivitywiththeregistrationtemperaturearestillpoorlyunderstood.Thepreviousexper
7、imentsoftensufferedfromnarrowrangeoftemperaturesorfromsmallnumberofexperimentalpointswithinawiderangeoftemperatures.Forthisreason,itwasdifficulttocorrelatethedetectorbehaviorwiththetemperature-dependentpropertiesofpolymersusedasarecordingmedium.Ontheotherhand,itiswellknownthatthemolec
