1、ABERDEENCOLLEGEABERDEENCITYCOUNCILPARTNERSHIPMATTERSLOCALPARTNERSHIPAGREEMENT201061.StatementofPurposeThispartnershipwillprovidesupporttochildren,youngpeopleandadults,whoduetothenatureoftheirdisabilityoradditionalsupportneed,(forexample,adifficultyin

2、learning,physicalaccessibilitydisability,mentalhealthandwellbeing,lookedafterchildren,youngcarerorsensorysupport)cannotindependentlyaccessandparticipateinfurthereducation.Wewillseektoensurethatallyoungpeopleandadultshavethechancetoaccessaplacewithana

3、ppropriatefurthereducationproviderwiththenecessarysupport.Indoingso,theyoungpersonoradult(“thelearner”)willbekeptfullyinvolvedindiscussionsaboutanappropriateeducationplacementandthedecisionmakingprocessinvolved.Theneedsandaspirationsofthelearnerwillb

4、eatthecentreofanydecisiontakenregardinganappropriateeducationplacement.Allpartnersrecognise,understandandrespecttherolesandresponsibilitiesofthedifferentagenciesthatprovidesupport.Eachpartneracknowledgestheneedforon-goingdiscussionabouttheprovisionof
