3、ningprocess.Sofar,fewstudiesonformerrorpredictionhavebeenreported.Machiningusuallybeginswithpartialremovalofworkpiecesurface.Withoutin-processsensing,systemparameterscouldnotbeaccuratelydeterminednorsurfaceforminformationthuspreventingusfrommodelingforprecisioncontrol.
4、Inthisstudy,animproveddiscretesystemmodelandanin-processsensingtechniquehavebeenproposedtoaddressthepartialremovalandprecisioncontrolproblems.Modelsforpartialremoval,fullremoval,andsparkingoutconditionshavebeenestablished.Formerrorassessmentinthepartialremovalstagehasb
5、eeninvestigated.Itisfoundthatthegrindingconstantisabletoreflectchangesinmachiningconditionsandisabletorepresentmachiningcapability.Alargergrindingconstantwillmeanareducedsizereduction.Furtherstudiesofthegrindingconstantarenecessary.Fortheaccurateestimationofthegrindingc
6、onstant,twoapproachesareproposed.Theiterativeapproachwasfoundmoresuitableandconvergent.Theproposedmodelsandin-processsensingtechniquewerevalidatedthroughexperimentaltestingintermsofworkpiecesurfaceformprofileyn(x,z0),averagesizereductioncn,surfaceformerrorEpvnandnormalg
7、rindingforceFnn.Throughdetailedexaminationandcomparativestudies,theproposedmodelsandin-processsensingtechniqueofferedsignificantimprovementsrangingfromapproximately16.9%to23%,comparedwiththeexistingmodels.Exceptthegrindingforce,whichwasindirectlymeasuredthroughavoltagem
