3、Twain’sShortStoriesandsoon,andmadeasignificantcontributiontothetranslationandintroductionofforeignliterature,especiallyofMarkTwain’sworks,inChina.However,heisrarelyknownbypeoplebecauseofthespecialtimehelivedinandhisunfortunateexperiences,andthereisonlyalittleliteratureonhimor
4、histranslationworks.Theauthorhasonlyfound11articlesonCNKIandonlyoneisaboutZhang’stranslationofMarkTwain’sshortstories.Therefore,theauthorthinksthatitisnecessarytomakearelativelycomprehensiveanddeepanalysisonZhangYousongandhistranslationofMarkTwain’snovelettes,aimingtoletmorep
5、eoplehaveabetterunderstandingofZhangYousongandhistranslationworks,andtoemphasizethesignificantandprofoundinfluenceofhistranslationactivitiesontranslatedliterature.TheexistingliteraturehasalreadymadecomparativestudiesonZhangYousong’stranslationworksfromdifferentperspectivessuc
6、hasthethree-charactertheory:Faithfulness,ExpressivenessandElegance,theSkoposTheory,theReceptionAestheticsTheory,andtheDescriptiveTheory.ThisthesisadoptsZhouLingshun’sTranslatorBehaviorCriticism,Chesterman’sTranslationEthics,andDescriptiveTranslationStudies,aimingtomorecompreh
