2、rt-termeffectsoftime-varyingexposuresonhealth.Theproblemisthatpotentialforconfoundingintimeseriesregressionisveryhigh.Thus,itisimportantthattrendandseasonalityareproperlyaccountedfor.Ourpaperreviewsthestatisticalmodelscommonlyusedintime-seriesregression

3、methods,speciallyallowingforserialcorrelation,makethempotentiallyusefulforselectedepidemiologicalpurposes.Inparticular,wediscusstheuseoftime-seriesregressionforcountsusingawiderangeGeneralisedLinearModelsaswellasGeneralisedAdditiveModels.Inaddition,rece

4、ntlycriticalpointsinusingstatisticalsoftwareforGAMwerestressed,andreanalysesoftimeseriesdataonairpollutionandhealthwereperformedinordertoupdatealreadypublished.Applicationsareofferedthroughanexampleontherelationshipbetweenasthmaemergencyadmissionsandpho
