6、–namely,associativecommonalityandnativelikeness,andlexico-syntacticpatternsofassociativeorganization–havebeentraditionallyusedinbothfirstlanguage(L1)andsecondlanguage(L2)associativeresearchandthethirdone–collocationalaspectofassociativeresponses–isamorere

7、centperspectiveonassociativeconnections.Thecentralassumptionbehindthestudyisthateachmethodcapturesadifferentaspectoflanguageusers’lexicalorganizationand,inthat,theirfindingsmaypaintadifferentpictureofhowtheL1andL2lexiconscompareasproficiencyincreases.Atth
