2、er1996AbstractA1-6.8wt%Cusampleswereheldinthemushyzoneatafractionofsolidof50%for5000sandthencooled/quenchedwithcoolingratesbetween0.02and160K/s.Thecoarse~t-A1particlesformedduringtheisothermalholdingperiodgrowwithanunstableinterfaceduringthequenchingprocess.Finecellsanddendri

3、tesdeveloponthesurfaceoftheprimaryparticles.Atlowcoolingrates,ifthesolutalboundarylayersofneighbouredparticlesoverlap,nosolutalinstabilitiesareseen.Measurementsoftheinterceptlengthinthequenchedformerliquidandcorrelationthereofwiththesolutalboundarylayershowagoodqualitativeagr
