5、ervable.Despitethis,theoremsareprovedgivingstronggroundsfortheequalityofwagesandmarginalproductsunlessthereismonopsonyinthelabormarket.Thislattercaseisalsodiscussed.Thesecondmodel,whichfocusesontheimperfectobservationofperformance,allowsinterestingdeductionsaboutoptimalpaymentsche

6、dulesandorganizationalstructure.*Theusualideaofanorganizationisthatitisagroupofpeople(or1.Introductionroles)withinwhichastructureofauthorityisdefined.Inotherwords,theactionsofeachmemberoftheorganizationareconstrainedbycertainofthedecisionsmadebyothermembers.Simon(1957)hasdeveloped
