3、uentialÞniteelementcodes.TheemphasisandtheÞniteelementmesh.isputoncomputationalkernels,consideringpre-andpost-TheattemptstodeÞneanewparadigmhavecontinuedprocessingasseparateprograms.Fourfundamentalmodulesforatleasttenyears[13,17,27]andhaverecentlyintensi-(subsystems)ofcomputati

4、onalkernelsareidentiÞedfortheÞed(seee.g.articlesin[3]and[16]).Therearebasicallytwofourmaintasks:problemdeÞnition,approximation,meshapproachesthatcanbefoundinliterature.TheÞrstofthemmanipulationandlinearsystemsolution.Exampleinterfacesarecasestudiesoflarge,complexsystems[5Ð8].Fo

5、rsuchbetweenthefourmodulesthatcanaccommodateabroadsystemsitisnecessarytointroducesomekindofmodular-rangeofapplicationareas,approximationmethods,meshizationoftheprogram.Modulardesignmakescodeseasiertypesandexistingsolversarepresentedanddiscussed.Thetomaintain,modifyandextend.The

6、basicprinciplesandextensionsforothermodulesandforinterfaceswithexternaladvantagesofmodularizationarecommonlyknownandac-environmentsareconsidered.Thepaperpreparesgroundforknowledged,themainproblem,however,istoÞndasuitablethenextarticleconsideringthearchitectureofparallelÞnitemod
