3、arency(EIT)orcoherentpopulationoscillations(COP).Butthesetwomethodsneedtouseexpensiveexperimentinstrumentsandberealizedonlyinsomespecialgasorcrystalforcertainwavelength.Soitisdifficultinpractice.Toovercomethesedisadvantagesandmakethestudyonslowlightbecomemorepractical,slowlig
4、htc觚beachievedbyuseofnonlinear-effectsORfiberinthisarticle.AndmainlytheprocessofslowlightviastimulatedBrillouinscattering(SBS)isanalyzed.Theprimaryachievementsareasfollows:1Thelatestdevelopmentsandsignificanceofresearchoncontrollableslowlightarereviewed.Advantagesanddisadvant
5、agesofthesekindsoftechnologiesarediscussed.ThephysicalprincipleofslowlightandmethodsofachievingslowlightviastimulatedBrillouinscatteringinopticalfibersarestudied.2SteadystateofSBSisanalyzedbyshootingmethodandRunge-Kuttamethodonthebasisofcouplingequations.Andtheprocesstoachiev
6、eslowlightundersteadystateisdiscussed.TheSBSthresholdchangedalongwiththelossoffiber.Theeffectofpumpwavepowerandthelengthoffiberandstokeswavepoweronslowlightwereanalyzed.3Shootingmethod,Runge-Kuttamethodandsplit—stepFouriermethodareusedinMtalabsimulationonthebasisofthenumerica
