2、nobjectiveofthispaperistoperformtheparametricstudiesofthemultipletunedmassdampers(MTMD)forattenuatingundesirablealong2winddisplacementandaccelerationresponsesofstructureswithresortingtothepseudo2excitationapproachinthefrequencydomain.TheMTMDiskepttohavetheidenticalstiffnessanddampingbutune
3、qualmass,thusmoreeasilymanufactured.MinimizationoftheminimumvaluesofthemaximumdisplacementandaccelerationdynamicmagnificationfactorsofthestructureisusedtoseekfortheoptimumparametersoftheMTMD.Minimizationoftheminimumvaluesofthemaximumdisplacementandaccelerationdynamicmagnificationfactors,re
4、spectively,nondimensionalizedbythemaximumdisplacementandaccelerationdynamicmagnificationfactorsofthestructurewithouttheMTMD,isadoptedastheindexmeasuringtheeffectivenessoftheMTMD.EvaluationisconductedonthestrokedisplacementoftheMTMDthroughassessingthemaximumdisplacementdynamicmagnificationf
5、actorofeveryTMDintheMTMD.TheresultsindicatethatboththedeviationofthecontrollednaturalfrequencyandthevariationinwindloadinghavenoinfluenceupontheoptimumparametersandeffectivenessoftheMTMD.However,itisworthnotingthatthestrokedisplacementoftheMTMDissensitivetobothofthem,inparticular,totheform
6、er.ThestrokedisplacementoftheMTMDisaveryimportantspecificationthatdecidescosts.Consequently,alargedeviationhigherthanthecontrollednaturalfrequencyisnotpermitted.Additionally,thetotalnumberwithintherangefromn=7ton=15isbeneficialwhentheMTMDisusedtocontrolthealong2windresponsesoftallbuildings
