4、lationships.Thetechnologicaldevelopmentsareamongotherthings:informationtechnology,newdesignstrategies,newprocessingtechniques,andtheavailabilityofflexibleproductionsystems,suchasindustrialrobots.Companieswillhavetoadjusttheirpolicytothesemarketandtechnologydevelopments(marketpullandtechnol
5、ogypush,respectively).Thispolicyisdeterminedbythecompanyobjectivesandthecompanystrategywhichlieatitsbasis.Undertheinfluenceoftheexternaldevelopmentsmentioned,thecompanyobjectivescan,ingeneral,bedividedinto:highflexibility,highproductivity,constantandhighproductquality,shortthroughputtimes,
6、andlowproductioncosts.Optimizingthesecompetitionfactorsnormallyresultsinthegenerationofmoremoney,andthus(greater)profits.Torealizethisobjective,mostcompanieschoosethefollowingstrategies:reductionofcomplexity,applicationofadvancedproductiontechnologies,integralapproach,qualitycontrol,andimp
