3、restinteriors(undisturbedsites),alongforesttrails(transientlydisturbedhikingtracks),andinrecreationalareas(1ong-lastingdisturbedpicnicsites).parametersdescribingtheoverallbirdcommunity(i.e.totalbirdabundance,speciesrichnessanddiversity),groupsofspecies(i.e.abundanceofcorvidsandnestingorforag
4、ingguilds)andindividualspeciesabundanceswerecompared.Forestsiteswithanytypeofhumanpresence(trailsandpicnicsitespooled)hadhigheroverallabundancesandspeciesrichnesspersamplingplotthanundisturbedforestinteriors.Furthermore.fourteenspeciesweresignificantlymoreabundantindisturbedsitesthaninforest
5、interiors,whiletheconversewastrueonlyforfivespecies.Anthropogeniesitesdidnotaffectforestspecialists.Canopy?nesters,trunkandground.foragers,andeorvidsweremoreabundantatrecreationalsitesthaninundisturbedforests,whiletheconversepatternwasobservedforground.nesters.ThesepaRemsweremoredistinetinde
6、ciduousthaninconiferousforesttracts.Thepositiveeffectsofrecreationalsitesweremostlyassociatedwithpicnicsites,sinceforesttraiIsweremostlyindistinguishablefromundisnubedforestinteriorsintermsofbirdcommunitypatterns.SeveralhabitatcharaeteristicsofdisturbedsitesctmexplainSOmeofthesedifferences:i
