3、ation,superpositioncodingandmultiuserdiversityemerge.Thefirstpartofthechapterfocusesontheuplink(many-to-one)anddownlink(one-to-many)AWGNchannelwithoutfading.Fortheuplink,anoptimalmultipleaccessstrategyisforalluserstospreadtheirsignalacrosstheentirebandwidth,muchlikeintheCDMAsysteminCh
4、apter4.However,ratherthandecodingeveryusertreatingtheinterferencefromotherusersasnoise,asuccessiveinterferencecancellation(SIC)receiverisneededtoachievecapacity.Thatis,afteroneuserisdecoded,itssignalisstrippedawayfromtheaggregatereceivedsignalbeforethenextuserisdecoded.Asimilarstrateg
