3、ase,Calabresi,Posnerappeared.TheNewInstitutionalEconomicsinthesenseofOliverWilliamsonaswellasDouglassNorthbecamecentralissuesintheeightiesandweredeepenedduringthenineties.ThesamehappenedwiththeEconomicAnalysisofLaw.Finally,areportonorganizedinstitutionaleconomicresearchin"Germanophone"countriesdu
4、ringtheninetiesisgivenplusasurveyofsomeoftheGermanliteratureinthefield.TheaimofthisreportistogiveforeignreadersaroughideaofthehistoricbackgroundofGermannewinstitutionaleconomics,andtoprovideaddressesofscholarsandresearchgroupsoftheNIEtousers,asortof"YellowPages"ofGermanmoderneconomicinstitutional
5、ists.InGermany,thehistoricalrootsoftheNewInstitutionalEconomicscanbetracedbacktothesecondhalfofthenineteenthcentury.Thetradition,oncebegun,wasinfluentialinthedevelopmentoftheAmericanOldInstitutionalEconomics(Veblen,Mitchell,Commons)and,althoughGermaninstitutionalthinkingexperiencedsomemetamorphos
