2、orroadsteads,harbours,rivers,lakesorinlandwaterwaysconnectedwiththehighseasandnavigablebysea-goingvessels.SuchspecialrulesshallconformascloselyaspossibletotheseRules.(c)NothingintheseRulesshallinterferewiththeoperationofanyspecialrulesmadebytheGovernmentofanyStatewithrespecttoadditionalstatio
3、norsignallights,shapesorwhistlesignalsforshipsofwarandvesselsproceedingunderconvoy,orwithrespecttoadditionalstationorshapesforfishingvesselsengagedinfishingasafleet.Theseadditionalstationorsignallights,shapesorwhistlesignalsshall,sofaraspossible,besuchthattheycannotbemistakenforanylight,shape
4、orsignalauthorizedelsewhereundertheseRules.(d)TrafficseparationschemesmaybeadoptedbytheOrganizationforthepurposeoftheseRules.(e)WhenevertheGovernmentconcernedshallhavedeterminedthatavesselofspecialconstructionorpurposecannotcomplyfullywiththeprovisionsofanyoftheseRuleswithrespecttothenumber,p
5、osition,rangeorarcofvisibilityoflightsorshapes,aswellastothedispositionandcharacteristicsofsound-signalingappliances,suchvesselshallcomplywithsuchotherprovisionsinregardtothenumber,position,rangeorarcofvisibilityoflightsorshapes,aswellastothedispositionandcharacteristicsofsound-signalingappli
