3、nangiography(DSA)appearancesof16patientswithcarotidbodytumorsandschwanno2masincarotidspaceconfirmedpathologicallywereretrospectivelyanalyzed.Therewere8patientswithcarotidbodytumorsand8patientswithschwannomas.Sixpatientswithcarotidbodytumorsand5patientswithschwannomasunderwentCTplains
4、can.AllthepatientsunderwentMRplainandcontrast2enhancedscan.Fourpatientswithcarotidbodytumorsand2patientswithschwannomasunderwentDSAexamination.ResultsCT:Sixcarotidbodytumorswerelobulatedsofttissuemasses.Thedensityofthetumorswassimilartoneckmuscles.Twocarotidbodytumorsinvolvingjugular
5、foramenexpand2edjugularforamen,andthemarginwasirregularanderosion2destructive.Fiveschwannomaswereovoidorfusiformsofttis2suemasses.Thedensityofthetumorswasmixed.Twoschwannomasinvolvedjugularforamenexpandedjugularforamen,andthemarginwassmooth.MRI:Eightcarotidbodytumorswerelobulated,wel
6、l2defined,longitudinalgrowthmasseswithcharacteristichigh2velocityflowvoids.Thetumorsplayedandsurroundedinternalcarotidarteryandexternalcarotidartery.Thediametersofthearterieswerenormal.Thetumorsintenselyenhancedoncontrast2enhancedMRI.Eightschwannomaswereovoidorfusiform,well2defined,l
7、ongitudinalgrowthmasseswithheterogeneoussignal,splayingcarotidarteryandjug2ularvein.Thediametersofthevesselswerenarrow.Thetumorsnonuniformlyenhancedoncontrast2enhancedMRI.DSA:Fourcarotidbodytumorsshowedintensetumorblush,while2schwannomasshowedslighttumorblush.ConclusionAc2cordingtoth
