2、stract:sothatstillnotsatisfactorytosupportefficientModularMultilevelConverter(MMC)hassimulationstudies.presentsgreatpotentialinhighpowerquality,lowAveragemodelingofMMCaimstorealizefast,operationloss,scalabilityandhighreliability,whichstable,andreliableMMCsimulationwithpropermak
3、eMMCagoodchoiceforDCtransmission,MVaccuracy.ItcanreducethecomputationloadofdriveandotherHVorMVapplications.Thispapersimulationplatforms,andthushavegreatdescribestheaveragemodelingandcontrolofMMC.engineeringapplicationvalue.ThispaperdescribesFirstly,theoperationprinciplesofMMCar
4、eanalyzed,theaveragemodelingofMMCandcontrolmethodbasedonwhichtheaverageMMCmodelisdeduced.Secondly,thecontrolmethodsforDCvoltagecontrol,thereof.Insection2,theoperationprinciplesofcirculatingcurrentsuppression,andcapacitorvoltageMMCareanalyzedandtheaveragemodelisbalancing,etcared
5、eveloped.Finally,theeffectivenessdeduced.Insection3,thecontrolmethodincludingoftheproposedaveragemodelisverifiedbycomparingouterloopandinnerloopcontrolisdeveloped.InthesimulationresultsofanMVDCdistributionsystemsection4,anMVDCdistributionsystemmodelisusingdetailedMMCmodels.Thec
