3、hes.Themedianparticlesizeofthevolumedistributionofredispersedpowdersisabout50nmaftercalcinationatT,950°C.Akeyissueofadvancedprocessingisthepreparationofdensesinteredbodiesatasinteringtemperature,1300°Cwithasubmicrometergrainsize;thebodiesarelargeenough

4、toenablethemeasurementofaVickersmacrohardness.21GPaatatestingloadof10kg.Poroussinteredcorundumbodieswithanaverageporesizebetween15and60nmandaporosityofabout40±55%havebeenproducedwithintheframeworkofthedescribedsynthesisbybothpowderorsol/geltechnologies
