3、topferonlythememoryfootprintofaprocess,VMmigrationofamultitudeofhardwareandsoftwareplatforms,andthepos-sibilityfordynamicresourceallocationtowardstheimprovementmustmigratetheentireallocatedmemoryimageoftheVM.ofprocessperformance,e.g.,byVirtualMachine(VM)migrationThisrequireslarg
4、erresourcesandlongertimetoachieve,asameansforload-balancing.ThispaperdealswithissueswhetherbyDump-RestoreortransparentlyinthebackgroundrelatedtorunningHPCapplicationsonmulti-clustersandGridsbylive-migration.However,processmigrationmayimposeusingVMware,avirtualizationpackagerunni
5、ngonWindows,adependencyontheoriginatingnodeoftheprocess,whichLinuxandOSX.Thepaperpresentsthe“Jobrun”systemfortransparent,on-demandVMlaunchinguponjobsubmission,andcanadverselyaffecttheprocessperformancewhenmigratingitsintegrationwiththeMOSIXclusterandGridmanagementtoremotecluster
6、s.Thisproblemcanbeovercomebyusingsystem.Wepresentanovelapproachtojobmigration,combiningVMstocompletelymovetheprocesstoanewlocation.VMmigrationwithprocessmigrationusingJobrun,bywhichOnegoalofthispaperistocomparetheperformanceoftheitispossibletomigrategroupsofprocessesandparallelj
