2、r,themultiratemethodwillbeintroducedtoPowersystemsimulationarevariablestepmethods[l][2].analyaepowersystembehaviorforsystemswithwidelyVariablestepmethodsareintegrationtechniquesinwhichthetimestepmayvaryinaccordancewiththefastestvaryingtimeconstants.Estimatesforcomputa
3、tionalspeed-upwillbederivedbasedonalinearsystemap-varyingstateinthesystem.Thevariablestepmethodpreach.Themethodwillbeappliedtoasmallpowersys-iswellsuitedforsimulatingdynamicsystemswhicharetemexampleandtheresults,bothintermsofaccuracyprimarilyslowresponsesystems,butexh
4、ibitinfrequentandcomputationtime,willbecomparedtotraditionalfastdecayingtransients.Themethodisnotwellsuitedsimulationmethods.forsystemsinwhichthefastresponseissustainedforalargeportionofthesimulationinterval.Unfortunately,thisisthecasewhenthepowersystemcontainsinducti
5、on1Introductionmachinesundercontinuallychangingloadinglevels.So,whileonlyasmallportionoftheentiresystemstatesareComputationalcomplexityisoftimelyconcernintheaffectedbyfastdynamicsoftheinductionmachineloads,assessmentofdynamicsecurity.Steady-stateandtran-theintegration
6、timestepmustremainsmall,thuscompu-sientstabilitycomputationalmethodshavebeenstudiedtationalefficiencyislost.Thisisagainthecasewhentheindepthandmanyrobustandwidely-usedtoolsareavail-powersystemismodelledwithfastswitchingdevices,suchableforanalysesinthesetimeframes.Unfo
7、rtunately,theasFACTSdevicesortheconvertersnecessarytointertiedevelopmentofcomputationaltoolsfordynamic(mid-toDClinesintoanACsystem.long-range)analysislagsfarbehind.Theabilitytode-MultiratemethodswerefirstproposedbyGear[3][4]forvelopsuchmethodsisfurthercomplicatedbythe
8、lackofsystemswithwidelyvaryingtimeresponsebehavior.Re-appropriatemodelsforvarioussystemcomponents.Incently,multirate,rathert
