2、modelwhereheterogeneousfirmscompareandmodifytheirinnovationstrategies,sogeneratinganevolvingnetworkstructure.Byimplementingdynamicbehavioralswitchingviaafitnessmechanismbasedonagents’performance,companiescanendogenouslymodifytheirtacticsfortechnologicalchangeandswitchamongthreegroups:

3、stand-aloneinnova-tors,collaborativeinnovatorsandimitators.Ontheonehand,westudythepropertiesoftheemergingnetworksandweshowthattheyreproducethestylizedfactsofinnovationnetworks.Moreover,wefocustheanalysisontheimpactofthesethreeinnovationcategoriesonthemacroeconomicaggregate,findingthat
