3、estocavityshapeoptimizationandillustratetheseapproacheswithcomputersimulations.SUPERCONDUCTINGCAVITIESFORHIGH-ββββACCELERATORSAparticleacceleratorconsistsofmanysystemsthatmaketheaccelerationpossible:aparticlesource,avacuumchamber,afocusingsystemandmanyothers.Thedevicethatimm
4、ediatelyprovidestheaccelerationbyFigure1:Singlecellandmulticellellipticalcavities.impartingenergytothechargedparticlesisusuallyaTheterm“ellipticalcavity”meansthattheprofilelinemicrowaveresonantcavity.Normal-andsuper-ofthecavityconsistsofseveral(usuallytwo)ellipticarcsconduct

6、[1],moreandmoremodernacceleratorsbeganlimitingperformanceofcylindricalpill-boxcavities.usingsuperconducting(SC)acceleratingstructures,whichLateron[4]itwasunderstoodthatusinganarcofoptimalhaveseveralattractivefeaturesascomparedtonormal-shapeinellipticalcavitiesmakesdistributi
