2、onalanalysis.Itisonewhichrecognizesthatthemodernworldweliveinandthesocialartefactswerelyupontosuccessfullynegotiateourwaythroughlife,arealwaysalreadyinstitutionalizedeffectsofprimaryorganizationalimpulses.Socialobjectsandphenomenasuchas‘theorganization’,‘theeconomy’,‘themarket’oreven‘stakeholder
3、s’or‘theweather’,donothaveastraightforwardandunproblematicexistenceindependentofourdiscursively-shapedunderstandings.Instead,theyhavetobeforciblycarvedoutoftheundifferentiatedfluxofrawexperienceandconceptuallyfixedandlabelledsothattheycanbecomethecommoncurrencyforcommunicationalexchanges.Modernsoc
4、ialreality,withitsall-too-familiarfeatures,hastobecontinuallyconstructedandsustainedthroughsuchaggregativediscursiveactsofreality-construction.Theideathatreality,asweknowit,issociallyconstructed,hasbecomeanacceptedtruth.Whatislesscommonlyunderstoodishowthisrealitygetscon-structedinthefirstplacean
5、dwhatsustainsit.ForthephilosopherWilliamJames,oursocialrealityisalwaysalreadyanabstraction.Ourlifeworldisanundifferentiatedfluxoffleetingsense-impressionsanditisoutofthisbruteaboriginalfluxoflivedexperiencethatattentioncarvesoutandconceptionnames:...inthesky‘constellations’,onearth‘beach’,‘sea’,‘cl
