2、gAbstractThisarticleevaluatesthefeasibilityoftwoscenariosofphasetransitionsignals,thatis,theflashinggreentogetherwithred–yellowlightandthegreencountdowntogetherwithredcountdown,atsignalizedintersectionsintermsofe-bikeriderbehavior.Anevaluationframeworkis

3、firstproposed.Duringthephasetransition,thestop-goandstart-upbeha-vioralparametersarecollectedatfourintersectionsinShanghai,China.Sensitivityanalysisisthenperformedtoidentifythemostsignificantfactorsthatinfluencetheoccurrenceoftrafficconflictsduringthepha

4、setransition.Basedontheaboveanalysisresults,casestudieswerefinallydonetolookintosafetyperformanceofthetwoscenariosofphasetran-sitionsignals,indicatedbythedistributionsofpostencroachmenttimeattheconflictpointandtheoccurringprobabilityofextremelysmallposte

5、ncroachmenttimes.Researchresultshowsthetransitionsignalcombinationofgreencount-down+redcountdowntendstocausetrafficaccidentsmoreeasilyandthuslesssafecomparedtothetransitionsignalcombinationofflashinggreen+red-yellow.Unliketheconventionalmethodgenerallyba
