4、m,complex,multi-scalecomposites.Thispaperdescribeshowfiniteelementprocedurescombinedwithknowledgeofindividualphasemoduliareused,incombinationwithacementpastemicrostructuredevelopmentmodel,toquantitativelypredictelasticmoduliasafunctionofdegreeofhydration,asmeasuredbylosso
5、nignition.Comparisonbetweenmodelpredictionsandexperimentalresultsaregoodfordegreesof3hydrationof50%orgreater,forarangeofwater:cementratios.Atearlyages,theresolutionofthetypical100digitalmicrostructureisinadequatetogiveaccurateresultsforthetenuouscementpastemicrostructuret
