6、scoelasticsurfactants(VES)whichshowedgoodresultsinthelabandfieldtests.AmajorlimitationwiththeconventionalVESistemperature.Mostofthesesurfactants°donotholdviscosityattemperaturesgreaterthan250F.AnewVESthatcanbeusedathighertemperatureswasdeveloped.TheapparentviscosityofthespentVES
7、-basedacidswasmeasuredasafunctionoftemperatureandshearrateat300psi.VariouscorrosioninhibitorsweremixedtogetherwiththenewVEStofindoutthemostcompatibleformula.Acorefloodtestwasconductedona20in.longcarbonatecoretoexaminetheperformanceofthenewsurfactant.ThecorewasCATscannedbeforeand
