3、istingofC,N,andsomeimpurityH,connectedviatris-triazine-basedpatterns.Comparedwiththemajorityofcarbonmaterials,ithaselectron-richproperties,basicsurfacefunctionalitiesandH-bondingmotifsduetothepresenceofNandHatoms.Itisthusregardedasapotentialcandidatetocomplementcarboninmater
4、ialapplications.Inthisreview,abriefintroductiontog-C3N4isgiven,themethodsusedforsynthesizingthismaterialwithdifferenttexturalstructuresandsurfacemorphologiesaredescribed,anditsphysicochemicalpropertiesarereferred.Inaddition,fouraspectsoftheapplicationsofg-C3N4incatalysisaredi
5、scussed:(1)asabasemetal-freecatalystforNOdecomposition,(2)asareferencematerialindifferentiatingoxygenactivationsitesforoxidationreactionsoversupportedcatalysts,(3)asafunctionalmaterialtosynthesizenanosizedmetalparticles,and(4)asametal-freecatalystforphotocatalysis.Thereasonsf
