3、ls[2].AMBSEmethodologycanbecharacterizedasthecollectionofrelatedprocesses,methods,andtoolsusedtosupportthedisciplineofsystemsengineeringina“model-based”or“model-driven”context.TheintentofthissurveyistoeducatethereaderaboutthevariouscandidateMBSEmethodologiesthatarecommerciallyavailableaswe

4、llasthecontrol-andstate-basedMBSEmethodologythathasbeendevelopedatNASA’sJetPropulsionLaboratory(JPL),whichhasbeenpublishedintheopenliterature.1.2ScopeThismemodescribestheresultofaMBSEmethodologysurveyonly;itisnotamethodologyassessment.Thematerialcontainedhereinisexpectedtobereviewedandshar

5、edbytheINCOSEMBSEInitiativeteamanditsgoverningleaders.Itshouldbenotedthatthisisacursorysurveyandonlythetop-levelsynopsesofeachcandidatemethodologyisdescribed.Detaileddescriptionsofeachcanbefoundinthecitedreferences.Whileitisrecognizedthatmoderndaysystemsarenotonlygaininginoverallcomplexity

6、,theyarealsobecomingmoresoftwareintensive.Nevertheless,thescopeofthissurveyreportisonMBSEmethodologiesfromtheholistic,lifecyclewidesystemsengineeringperspectiveandnotspecificallytargetedtowardembeddedsystemsorsoftware-intensivesystemsingeneral.Therearesomenotablemodel-basedmethodologiestha
