4、dinthebandstructuresofcrystalswithvariouslatticegeometries.[1-5]Since,crystalstructuresexhibitverylowtransmissionforincomingwaveinfrequenciescoincidingbandgaps,itwasreferredasstopbandinsomestudies.Bandgapsoccurwhenhomogenouswavepropagationmediumturnedinto

5、aninhomogeneousconditionbyperiodicalflawingofscatteringmaterial.Thisperiodicalflawinmediumleadsfrequencyselectivityintransmissionofthewaveandresultstransmissionbands,permittingwavepropagationthroughthecrystal,andbandgaps,prohibitingwavepropagationthrought

6、hecrystal.Practically,bandgapspropertiesofsoniccrystalstructureswereusedinapplicationofreductionofvibrationsorsoundwave.Inthisstudy,weconsidercrystalstructuresforsuspensionofdestructiveseismicwavesfromanearthquakeinatheoreticalmanner.Accordingly,wereferre

7、dthesecrystalsasSeismicCrystalandapplicationofisolatingaregionfromdestructiveseismicwaveasEarthquakeShielding.Sincedifficultiesinexperimentalstudyofearthquakes,weappliedtoFiniteDifferenceTimeDomain(FDTD)simulations,whichwasthemostcommonnumericalanalysiste
