3、formationratioisconsideredacontrolledvariablebysimplycon-trollingtheon-offconductiondutycycleofitssolid-stateswitch.Thissimplisticapproach,however,failstorecognizethatthein-stantaneousbatterycurrentamplitudeequalsthemotorcurrentdemandduringtheswitch"on"periodresultinginpotentiallyv

4、erylargepeakpowerdemands[1].Propulsionsystempowerdesignrequiresanefficientpowertransferfromthesourcetotheloadunderallspeedconditionstoattainmaximumperformanceatlowestsystemweightandcost.Thisrequirementcloselyinterrelateswithtotalsourcepowerconversionefficiencyindependentlyofthesour
