3、ateralflow.Toobservethesoilsurroundingthepileduringliquefaction,itwasmodeledasaburiedcylinderthatcorrespondedtoasectionalmodeloftheprototypepileatacertaindepthinthesubsoil.Inordertocreatearealisticstressconditioninthemodelground,themodelwaspreparedinasealedcontainerandtheoverbu

4、rdenpressurewasappliedtothegroundsurfacebyarubberpressurebag.Themodelpilewasactuatedbackandforththroughrodsattachedoneachsidebyanelectro-hydraulicactuator.Thispaperfocusesonobservingthedeformationoftheliquefiedsoilsurroundingthepilewhenalargerelativedisplacementbetweenthepilean

5、dthesoilisinduced.Theloadingrateeffectonthelateralresistanceofthepileintheliquefiedsandandtheinfluenceoftherelativedensityarealsoinvestigated.Testresultsshowthatalargerresistanceismobilizedastheloadingratebecomeshigher.Whentheloadingrateishigher,thecylinderdisplacementrequiredfo
