2、esforthepurposeofgivingthestudentsamoreconcreteimpressionofthetargetlanguage.Viewedfrommanyaspectsliketheinputofvocabularyandexpressions,there-creationofthetargetlanguageenvironmentandthelearningofEnglishculture,multimediaisthebestmeanstodealwithsomuchinformation.Therefore,thisnewtechno
3、logyisappliedtoEnglishteachingalloverthecountry.NSMCisnoexception.AlloftheEnglishteachersinNSMCareusingcomputerstoaidtheirteaching.UsingmultimediainEnglishteachingprovidesagoodopportunitytofacilitateEnglishcommunication,broadenlearners’horizon,andenhancetheteachingefficiency.However,man
4、yproblemshaveariseninteachingpractice.TheauthorhadobservedthecollegeEnglishclassesformanytimesandfoundthattheEnglishteacherscan’thandleComputerAssistedInstruction(CAI)appropriately;theyrelyonthemultimediateachingcoursewareexcessivelyintheclassroom;theteachersandstudentslackenoughinterac
5、tionandexchange;theteachingcontentscannotbeadjustedatwill,sotheteachinghavenofixedmethods;themultimediacourseware’scontentsaresooverabundantthatstudentsarenoteasytotakenotes;theclassrooms’conditionlimitsthemultimediateaching,andsoonandsoforth.Therefore,theauthorhadthoughtabouttheseprobl
6、emsandtriedtofindpropercountermeasurestosolvetheseproblems.Takingthetheoryofconstructivismasthetheoreticalbasis,theauthordesignedaquestionnairetomakeasurveyoftheproblemsanditscountermeasuresinMultimedia-AidedEnglishTeachingofNSMC.Theresultssupporttheauthor'sassumption.Andthemeasureswhat
