3、rotectionStationforenvironmentalprotectioninKekexiliarea.YangXinisdevotedtoprotectingtheendangeredTibetanantelopeinKekexili.In1975,strictinternationalprotectionfortheantelopeswasintroducedafterseverehuntingthroughoutthe20thcentury—Tibetanantelopewoolnearlydrovethemtoextinction.However,toda

4、yhuntingisagainontheincreaseandthenumberofTibetanantelopesisnomorethan75,000.Inadditiontoresearchingthebiologyoftheantelopes,YangXinisrunningsomepubliceducationprogrammestoraiseawarenessofthethreatstheyfaceduringmigration.Greenriverhasmadeasuccessfultrafficsystemthatallowstheantelopestomig

5、rateacrossamajorroad.Thesystemhashadameasurableimpact,andinJune2005,about2,800antelopeswereseentocrosstheQinghaiTibetanroad,seventimestheamountfromthesameperiodin2004.YangXinisnowworkingtofindnewwaystoreducethenegativeimpactthedevelopmentwillhaveonthefreemigrationoftheantelopes.YangXinrece
