7、量的货品，以备未来的需求。一般分为待检验存货、合格存货、待处理存货以及呆滞存货。存货的数量及价值决定了占用生产商或货主现金流的多少，同时决定了用生产商或货主其对客户服务的好坏，因此是关注的重点。从第三方物流服务提供商的角度：储存于仓库中的货物（所有权归客户）。依据客户（货主）或货主的客户的不同需要而对存货进行区别管理。存货数量的多少，周转的快慢，决定了仓储服务的收入，是第三方物流服务商关注的重点。
