2、duceprintstomanufacturethatproduct.Aprintisapictureofapartorassemblythatisveryexact.Itincludesthedimensionsandapartslistusedtomanufactureaproduct.CADisusedtodesign,developandoptimizeproducts.CADismainlyusedfortheengineeringofmodelsanddrawingsofcomponents.Itisalsousedthroug
3、houttheengineeringprocessfromconcepttodesignofproducts.Theseproductscanbeusedbyendconsumersorusedinotherproducts.Forexample,youcandesignaboltinCAD,andthenuseitinaSub-Assemblyinaplanetary,whichisapartofanearth-movingmachine.CADisalsousedinthedesignoftoolsandmachinery.Finall
4、y,itisusedinthedesignofalltypesofbuildingsfromshedstoshoppingmalls.CAMForsimpleapplications(likedrillingholes),theCNCprogramcanbedevelopedmanually.Thatis,aprogrammerwillsitdowntowritetheprogramarmedonlywithpencil,paper,andcalculator.Again,forsimpleapplications,thismaybethe
5、verybestwaytodevelopCNCprograms.Asapplicationsgetmorecomplicated,andespeciallywhennewprogramsarerequiredonaregularbasis,writingprogramsmanuallybecomesmuchmoredifficult.Tosimplifytheprogrammingprocess,acomputeraidedmanufacturing(CAM)systemcanbeused.ACAMsystemisasoftwareprog
6、ramthatrunsonacomputer(commonlyaPC)thathelpstheCNCprogrammerwiththeprogrammingprocess.Generallyspeaking,aCAMsystemwilltakethetediousnessanddrudgeryoutofprogramming.InmanycompaniestheCAMsystemwillworkwiththecomputeraideddesign(CAD)drawingdevelopedbythecompany'sdesignenginee
