1、ABSTRACTAfterthereformandopeningup,theaquacultureindustryinVietnamdevelopedrapidlyandhasbecomeoneofthemostimportantindustriesinVietnam,nowtheVietnamesegovernmentattachesgreatimportancetothisindustry.IthasoccupiedanimportantpositioninVietnameseeconomyandtradeinrecentyears;itisVietnam'

2、smajorexportindustries.Butbeforethis,theaquacultureindustryinVietnamwasatinyindustrydeservesnomentioning.After2007，aquaticproductsinUnitedStatesmarketformorethantenyears.SinceVietnamandChina'saquacultureindustryaresimilarintermsofindustriallevel,factorendowments,exportstructureetc.Th

3、erefore,thetwocountriescompetefiercelyintheUnitedStatesmarket.WiththegrowingdemandforAmericanaquaticproductsmarket,thecompetitionwillbecomemoreintense.TheU.S.governmentalsocontinuestosettherulesforallrelevantaquaticproductsimport.Vietnameseaquacultureindustryisoneofthepillarindustrie

4、softhenationaleconomy,whiletheUnitedStateshasbeenthecountry'smostimportantexportmarket.Inthissituation,knowingthecompetitiveadvantagebetweenVietnameseaquaticproductsothercompetitors(likechina),understandingthecompetitivesituationontheAmericanimportmarketofaquaticproducts,findingthepr

5、oblemsofaquaticproductsexporttotheUnitedStatesandimprovingthecompetitivenessofthisindustryinVietnamareveryimportant.ThisarticlerevolvesaroundthestatusoftheexportcompetitivenessofVietnameseaquaticproductstotheUnitedStates.Itsspecificcontentsare:first,toestablishabalanceexportcompetiti

6、venessindexsystemofcomprehensiveexportcompetitivenessonthebasisofrelevanttheory;nexttointroducethestatusquoVietnamaquaticproductsexportstotheUnitedStatesduring2002-2012;thentocalculateandanalyzethecompetitivenessoftheexportofaquaticproductsofVietnam,ChinaandtheUnitedStatesbyusingthef
