3、axamandGilbert.Anothercloneof0.7kbalsocontainedpartofthepoly(A)tailandwassequencedinparttoconfirmtheprimarystructureofthemost3endofthegenome.Twopotential,nonoverlappinggeneswereidentifiedwithinthe3-terminal1663-basesequencefromanexaminationofopenreadingframes.Thefirstgeneencodesa3
4、82-aminoacidproteinof43,426molwt,thatistheapparentnucleocapsidproteinonthebasisofsize,chemicalproperties,andaminoacidsequencehomologywithothercoronavirusnucleocapsidproteins.Itisflankedonits5sidebyatleastpartofthematrixproteingene.Thesecondencodesahypothetical78.aminoacidproteinof
