3、houghttobequitecloselyrelatedonsimilargrounds,muchofthegroupingshouldberegardedastentative.Nevertheless,murinestrains(MHV)areantigenicallyrelatedtosomehumanstrainsand,morphologically,human,avian,andmurinevirusesreplicateinasimilarway;itisthereforelikelythatatleast
4、someofthegroupingswillbeconfirmedbyfurtherinvestigation.ThereisnowsomemoredetailedinformationonthestructureoftheprototypevirusIBV(avianinfectiousbronchitisvirus),thestrikingfeaturesbeingthelargenumberofpeptidesandthelargesingleRNAstrand.Somestrainspossesshemagglut
5、ininandthereseemstobeahemagglutininreceptor-destroyingenzymewhichisnotaneuraminidase;alsothereisevidenceofaviralRNApolymerase.ThesefeaturesconfirmthatIBVisquitedistinctfromotherviruses.Westillhavenodetailedinformationaboutthebiochemicalcharacteristicsofitsnucleica
