4、goftheproductio门modelXD90001winchmanufacturedbyWarnIndustries,Inc.(Warn).Mr.AhomadearrangementstohaveanewXD9000iwinchaswellasseveralsparemotorsandsteelwireropesshippedfromWarnresellersdirectlytoATSinOctober2000.Mr.AhoshippedaWarnHS9500iwinchtoATSaswellsothatlimitedte
5、stingcouldbeperformedonthatwinchaswell.ObjectiveTesttheWarnXD9000ianddetermineitsmechanicalandelectricaloperatinglimits,alsotheunloadedstoppingdistancerequiredbytheXD9000iandHS9500i・Conclusions•Whenpullingatornear让sadvertisedratedcapacityof9000lb.,theWarnXD9000iwinch

7、hewinch'sadvertisedratedcapacity.•Therecoilfromasuddenandunexpectedwireropefailurecouldresultindeathorseriousinjurytothewinch'susersorbystanders•Awireropefailureduringwinchingcouldalsocausetheusertolosecontrolofthevehicle.•TheXD9000iwasunreasonablydangerousbecausethe
