2、tyAdamD.GalinskyColumbiaUniversityPastinvestigationsshowthataskingparticipantstorecallapersonalepi-sodeofpoweraffectsbehaviorinavarietyofways.Recently,somere-searchershavequestionedthereplicabilityofsuchprimingeffects.Thisarticleaddstothisconversationbyinvestigating
3、amoderatorofpowerre-calleffects:easeofretrieval.Fourexperimentsfindthattheeffectsofthepowerrecallmanipulationarereducedorevenreversedwhenthepowerepisodeisdifficulttorecall.Thismoderationisdemonstratedacrossthreeeffectsassociatedwithpower:confidence,disobedience,andu
4、nethicalbehavior.Thismoderationoccursregardlessofwhethereaseofretrievalwasmeasuredormanipulated.Thesefindingsofferinsighttotheefficacyofthepowerrecallmanipulationandprovideoneexplanationforfailurestoreplicate(i.e.,populationsorsituationsdifferineaseofretrieval).Over
