2、heshaveworkedwellincertaincircumstances,theymaynotalwaysleadtothebestpossibledesigns.Thispaperpresentsarobustperformanceoptimizationmethodforcycloneseparatorsusinggeneticalgorithm.Theeffectsofsevengeometricaldesignparametersonefficiencyandpressuredropareinvesti

3、gatedsimultaneously.Forcalculatingtheseperformancecharacteristics,agas-solidmultiphaseflowsimulationisusedtomodelthetwo-phaseflowinsidethecyclone.Theproposedcomputationalfluiddynamicmodelisemployedtoformulatetheobjectivefunctions,whicharethepre-requisiteofgenet

4、icalgorithm.Thesimultaneousoptimizingofcycloneparametersrevealstheprofoundeffectsoftheconicalheightandslope,onbothefficiencyandpressuredropofcycloneseparators.Theresultsalsoshowthatbyincreasingtheefficiencyover85percent,pressuredropwillbeincreasedsignificantly.
