2、thatIpursueacareerinelectricalengineering.WhenIbeganmyundergraduatecareer,Ihadtheopportunitytobeexposedtothefullrangeofengineeringcourses,allofwhichtendedtoreinforceandsolidifymyintenseinterestinengineering.I'vealsohadtheopportunitytostudyanumberofsu
3、bjectsinthehumanitiesandtheyhavebeenbothenjoyableandenlightening,providingmewithanewanddifferentperspectiveontheworldinwhichwelive.Intherealmofengineering,Ihavedevelopedaspecialinterestinthefieldoflasertechnologyandhaveevenbeentakingagraduatecoursein
4、quantumelectronics.Amongthe25orsostudentsinthecourse,Iamthesoleundergraduate.Anotherparticularinterestofmineiselectromagnetics,andlastsummer,whenIwasatechnicalassistantataworld-famouslocallab,Ilearnedaboutitsmanypracticalapplications,especiallyinrela
5、tiontomicrostripandantennadesign.ManagementatthislabwassufficientlyimpressedwithmyworktoaskthatIreturnwhenIgraduate.Ofcourse,myplansfollowingcompletionofmycurrentstudiesaretomovedirectlyintograduateworktowardmymaster'sinscience.AfterIearnmymaster'sde
6、gree,IintendtostartworkonmyPh.D.inelectricalengineering.LaterIwouldliketoworkintheareaofresearchanddevelopmentforprivateindustry.ItisinR&DthatIbelieveIcanmakethegreatestcontribution,utilizingmytheoreticalbackgroundandcreativityasascientist.Iamhighlya
