2、iaAbstract：DeliveryofhousingunitsinadequatequantityandqualityhasbeenthepursuitsofindividualsandsuccessivegovernmentsinNigeria．Still，thegapbetweendemandandsupplyisbecomingwiderondailybasisduetoexorbitantcostofbuildingmaterialsthatisbeyondthereachofaverageNigerians．Concreteb

3、eingthemostacceptableconstructionmaterialisexpensiveduetohighcostofcement．Effortsmadetoreducethecostofcementweretonoavail．thusthereisneedtolookelsewhere．Pastresearchesshowedthatsubstitutingcementwithl5％ofRHA(ricehuskash)inconcreteimprovestheperformanceofconcreteandreducesg

4、lobalwarmingasaresultofemissionsfromcementproduction．ThispaperlooksintotheeffectofusingRHAaspartialsubstituteofcementonthecostofalow．costhousingunit．Resultsshowedthatcementbasedconstructionmaterialsareresponsiblefor82．58％ofthetotalcostinwhichcementisresponsiblefor42％．When1
