3、e)Reinforcingsteelwithinsteelshellpilesandinthereinforcedconcretepileencasementshallnotbeepoxycoated.Powderedepoxyresinshallbeusedtocoattheepoxycoatedportionofthesteelshellencasedconcretepiles.TheContractormayfurnishanddrivethickerwalledsteelshellsthanspecified.701.03HandlingofEpoxyC

4、oatedPilesPilesshallbeshippedusingdunnageandpaddingshallbeusedwithchainsorsteelbands.Damagetoepoxycoatedpilesshallberepairedinaccordancewith915.01(d).Epoxycoatedpileswillberejectedifthetotalareaofrepairtothecoatingexceeds2%ofthetotalcoatedsurfacearea.CONSTRUCTIONREQUIREMENTS701.04Equ

5、ipmentforDrivingPiles(a)ApprovalofPileDrivingEquipmentAllpiledrivingequipmentfurnishedbytheContractorshallbeinworkingconditionandsubjecttoapproval.Allpiledrivingequipmentshallbesizedsuchthatthepilescanbedrivenwithreasonableefforttotheorderedlengthswithoutdamage.Thepiledrivingequipmen

6、tshallnotbeuseduntilapprovalisreceivedinwriting.TheContractorshallsubmittotheGeotechnicalEngineer,MaterialsandTestsDivision,withacopyto700-159theEngineer,acompletedPileandDrivingEquipmentDataFormatleast15calendardayspriortodrivingpiles.TheformwillbeincludedintheProposalbook.Piledrivi

7、ngequipmentwillbesubjecttosatisfactoryperformanceduringproduction.TheEngineerwillusetheinformationprovidedbytheContractortorunthewaveequationanalysisorthealternatemethod,fromwhichtheacceptanceofthepiledrivingequipmentwillbefounded.Approvalcriteriaofpiledrivingsystemswillconsistofboth
