2、1983and1993beforehisaccidentaldeath.YAboutKaKuiBEYONDROCKBANDKAKUIspentmostofhistimeinoutdooractivitieswhenhewaslittle,onlyheardsomerockmusicin1970sfromhiseldersister’sparties.OnedayhecamehometoldhislittlebritherSteveWongthathehadthefirstobjectthathewouldplaybetterthanthemanwhohum
3、iliatedhiminUndergroundband.Afterthat,hestartedpractisingdiligently.KAKUIdidsomejobsafterhegraduatedfrommiddleschool.Whenhewas17yearsold,hegotawoodenguitarfromhisneighbour,whichwashisfirstinstrumentinhislife.2021/7/30Atthattime,DavidBowiewasthefamousBritishrocksinger,whohasabiginf
4、luenceonKAKUI”。Intheearly1980s,KAKUIknewYipSaiWingundertheintroductionofhisfriend.Afterashorttime,WongandWingfoundthattheyhadthesameinterestsinmusic,sotheyformedthebandwhichistherudimentofBeyond.BeyondIn1985,themembersofthebandwererelativelystable,includingKaKuiWong,SteveWong,YipS
5、aiWingandPaulWong.Aswithothersingers,Beyondwrotesongsaboutpersonnalfeelings,butthemeaningsoftheirmostcomposerssaretoappealtopeace,careaboutourcountry,condemnwarandtheunfairworld.FamoussongsBeyondwrotemanyfamoussongs,forexample,Theglorydayswaswrittentopraisenelsonmandela,theblackle
